The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board has collected water samples from Besant Nagar and Thiruvanmiyur beaches in Chennai. This comes in after the beaches were seen foaming up on Thursday. The local fishermen believe that the high level of pollution in the water is the reason for the foam to be caused on the shoreline.
