The deal comes soon after the rebuilding Thunder traded br star forward Paul George br to the Clippers. In that swap, Oklahoma City also received a multitude of first-round draft picks. The 30-year-old Westbrook will now join forces with his old teammate, former MVP James Harden. According to ESPN, the br eight-time NBA All-Star was pushing br for the trade to play with Harden again. In his last year with the Thunder, Westbrook averaged abr triple-double for the regular season. The point guard, who is also an NBA MVP winner, recorded 22.9 points, 10.7 assists and 11.1 rebounds.
