Among them were Alfie Allen forbr outstanding supporting actor in a drama series, Gwendoline Christie for outstandingbr supporting actress in a drama series and Carice van Houten for outstandingbr guest actress in a drama series. These ‘Game of Thrones’ stars were notbr entered by HBO for Emmy consideration,br but rather paid the $225 entry fee themselves. HBO did however successfully nominatebr Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey,br Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams. It is not uncommon for shows with a multitudebr of series regulars to limit their choices, but it is uncommon that those who self-submitbr themselves end up receiving the nomination.
