Puerto Rico Governor br Expected to Resignbr Thousands have protestedbr in San Juan over the past br week, calling for Governor br Ricardo Rosselló's resignation.br They were sparked when several br offensive group messages between br Rosselló and his close advisors were published br by Puerto Rico's Center for Investigative Journalism.br The messages showed br disrespect to Hurricane Maria victims, br and displayed misogyny and homophobia.br The Governor's br Chief of Staff br resigned on Tuesday.br In addition, the FBI made two br arrests of former Rosselló administration br officials, due to its federal corruption investigation.br Demonstrators are also protesting br the slow recovery from Maria, br high poverty rates, debt and br ongoing government corruption.br Puerto Rico Secretary of br Justice Wanda Vasquez is br expected to replace Rosselló.
