The new cycle tracks are being used by more than just cycles. Electric wheelchair and mobility scooter users benefit from the kerb-free smooth continuous surface just as much as cycle users. In the Netherlands it is common to see two people out together on a trip, one on a cycle and one on a mobility scooter.
