Thousands of civil servants and medical professionals, who were joined by residents from different sectors, gathered in two locations in Hong Kong’s Central district on August 2 to protest against the government’s handling of the extradition bill crisis.  Organisers said the groups also want to show that the mostly young demonstrators, who have protested for weeks against the government’s now-shelved extradition bill, are not alone.
