But the retailer is still planning to bring in over br 2,000 workers for a tech facility that it br plans to open in 2021 in North Carolina. The store shutdowns by Lowe's are br apart of an ongoing trend in the br struggling U.S. retail sector. In 2019, over 7,000 stores have br closed their doors for good. As of its last filing, Lowe's has br nearly 200,000 full-time workers. There are currently just overbr 1,700 locations in America.
