Jay-Z and Will Smith's br Emmett Till Series to Air on ABC Emmett Till was a 14-year-old African American who was murdered in 1955. After being accused of inappropriately speaking br to a white woman, he was abducted from his home, br beaten, shot in the head and dumped in a river. His death was a pivotal moment br for the Civil Rights Movement. Smith and Hov's series will br chronicle the story of Till's mother, br Mamie Till-Mobley. Her story, following the murder br of her son, will be part of the series, br 'Women of the Movement.' The series will highlight br various women who contributed br to the Civil Rights Movement. It is not yet known when br the series will air on ABC.
