Matthew McConaughey Signs onbr as Professor at University of Texas.br The University of Texas recently announcedbr their hiring of Matthew McConaughey tobr the Moody College of Communication.br He is scheduled to begin his officialbr role as a professor this coming fall.br According to the university, McConaughey hasbr been appointed a professor of practice due tobr his “outstanding work as a teacher and mentor.” .br Matthew cares deeply for our school andbr our students, and we are thrilled that he sharesbr his time and talent to help prepare the nextbr generation of media leaders and innovators, Moody College Dean Jay Bernhardt, to UT News.br McConaughey, who graduated from the schoolbr himself in 1993, has been serving as a visitingbr instructor at the University of Texas since 2015.br He developed the curriculum and has been co-teachingbr a film production class called “Script to Screen.” .br Working in the classroom with these studentsbr gives me a chance to prepare them.
