MANILA, Philippines – In the first game of Sunday’s double-header, the UST Growling Tigers defeated the FEU Tamaraws in double overtime, 79-78. The Tigers trailed early in the third period, but slowly clawed their way back in the game. UST’s Karim Abdul finished with 24 points, while Aljon Mariano added 21. With the loss, FEU moves down from No. 1 to No. 2 in the league standings, behind the NU Bulldogs.
