MANILA, Philippines – Filipino karateka Ramon Franco won a gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games, bringing the Philippines’ gold medal haul to 12. It was a special victory for Franco, whose hometown of Tacloban was ravaged by Super Typhoon Yolanda.
