Binondo, Manila was the focal point of Chinese New Year celebrations welcoming the Year of the Wooden Horse. A crowd of around 8,000 was mesmerized by a 35-minute fireworks display following a countdown to the lunar new year. The Manila government partnered with the Filipino-Chinese community in the mounting the event which was also attended by various celebrities.
