This show of Food Diaries with Chef Zarnak Sidhwa aired on 4 September 2019. br br If you enjoy cooking Pakistani food and are looking for recipes, videos of LIVE shows, totkas, and other food stories in both Urdu and English, subscribe to this Youtube channel or go to our Website: br Jar salad:br Ingredients:br Chicken breasts 2br Olive oil to tastebr Salt to tastebr Black pepper to tastebr Oregano to tastebr Tomato (chopped) 1br Carrot (chopped) 1br Capsicum (chopped) 1br Cucumber (chopped) 1br Salad leaves as requiredbr For Lemon Pepper Dressing:br Lemon juice 3 tbspbr Olive oil 2 tbspbr Black pepper 1 tspbr Oregano 1 tspbr Salt to tastebr Method:br Season chicken with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Cook on a grill pan till done. Mix veggies with olive oil, salt, pepper and oregano. Push everything down in the jar gently to make room for the salad leaves. Fill the top with as much mixed greens as you can fit and close jar with lid. Set aside in fridge. Prepare dressing by mixing all the ingredients. Before serving, add in the dressing and top with sliced chicken. br br COOKIE FRIES:br Ingredients:br br Unsalted butter 1 cupbr Caster sugar 1 cupbr Eggs 2 br Vanilla essence 2 tspbr Flour 3 cupsbr Baking powder ¾ tspbr Salt ½ tspbr Sugar to sprinklebr Strawberry jam for servingbr Chocolate spread as requiredbr br For Funfetti frosting:br Icing sugar 2 cups br Butter ¼ cup br Vanilla essence 1 tspbr Milk 2-4 tbspbr Rainbow sprinkles2 tbspbr br br Method:br Beat butter and sugar until light. Add eggs, one at a time. Add in vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix until combined. Divide dough into 2 balls and flatten into discs. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll out dough into a large, thin rectangle. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife to cut dough crosswise into 34"-1" thick strips. Cut the strips in half lengthwise and trim the edges to create straight sides. Sprinkle with sugar and transfer cookie cutouts to baking sheets. Let chill in the refrigerator for about an hour. Bake at 180 degrees C for 12-15 minutes, until the cookies are starting to turn golden around the edges. Let cool completely. Serve with jam or chocolate spread or the funfetti frosting as a dip. br Beat the icing sugar, butter, vanilla and milk. Add in the sprinkles and use as a dip for the cookie fries.br br br GRANOLA BAR:br Ingredients:br Oats 2-½ cupsbr Nuts (chopped) ½ cup br Honey ¼ cup br Unsalted butter ¼ cup br Brown sugar 13 cup br Vanilla essence 1 tspbr Salt ¼ tspbr Dried fruitscoconutchocolate chips 34 cupsbr br Method:br Line a 9-inch square baking dish with foil and grease it. Place the oats and nuts in a baking tin and bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly toasted. Set them aside in a bowl. Mix the honey, butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Cook until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Add the vanilla essence and salt.
