France is bidding farewell to the late Jacques Chirac,... a much beloved French politician.br In a nationally-televised speech on Thursday, French President Emmanuel Marcon paid his respects to Chirac,...describing him "a great Frenchman." br The usually luminous Eiffel Tower turned dark, commemorating Chirac, a prominent figure in French politics for five decades. br France will hold a national day of mourning on Monday. br Chirac died at the age of 86 on Thursday, after serving the country as the French leader, Prime Minister and Mayor of Paris.
