It is related to other popular and similarly regional pasta dishes like American goulash and even chili mac. Despite its name, it has only a very distant relation to Chinese and American Chinese cuisine.br br Ingredients for Fried Noodles:br (Serves 2)br - 3-4 tbsp Oilbr - 100 gms Noodles(boiled)br - Cornflourbr br Ingredients for Chopsuey:br - 2 tbsp Oilbr - 200 gms Boneless Chicken (sliced)br - 1 tsp Garlic(minced)br - 1 tsp Ginger(minced)br - 1 Spring Onion(white)br - 12 cup Cabbage(shredded)br - 1 Carrotbr - 1 Capsicum(sliced)br - 14 cup Mung Beansbr - 1 12 cup Chicken Stockbr - 5 tbsp Tomato Ketchupbr - 1 tbsp Chilli Saucebr - 1 tsp Soy Saucebr - 1 tbsp Corn Flourbr - Saltbr - Sugar br - 14 tsp Vinegar br br Method:br 1. In a wok take oil, and heat it upbr 2. Take noodles in a medium-sized bowl; Add cornflour to it and toss it togetherbr 3. Now, in the hot oil add these noodles, and let it fry till a little on a medium-flamebr 4. In a separate pan heat oil, and add sliced boneless chicken to itbr 5. Fry them till they turn golden brownbr 6. Meanwhile, if the noodles turn golden brown, flip them over and fry it on the other side as wellbr 7. Once the chicken turn golden brown take them out in a plate and turn off the flamebr 8. Similarly, if the noodles are done, take them out on a paper towel, to drain the excess oil, and turn off the flame br 10. Now, add white spring onion to the wok, shredded cabbage, thinly sliced carrot, finely sliced green capsicumbr 9. In the same wok, add minced garlic paste, minced ginger paste and saute it till the raw aroma of ginger-garlic goes awaybr 11. Mix these ingredients properly, and then, add in fried chicken, mung beans and chicken stockbr 12. Mix it and add tomato ketchup, chilli sauce, soy sauce br 13. Give all these mixtures a good stirbr 14. Now, in the little chicken stock add 1 tbsp cornflourbr 15. Mix it and add it to the wok br 16. Turn the flame to high and stir the mixture; Add in salt & sugarbr 17. Turn off the flame and add vinegar to the wok br 18.
