This show of Food Diaries with Chef Zarnak Sidhwa aired on 10 October 2019. br br If you enjoy cooking Pakistani food and are looking for recipes, videos of LIVE shows, totkas, and other food stories in both Urdu and English, subscribe to this Youtube channel or go to our Website: br Mexican Cookies:br Ingredients:br Butter ½ cupbr Icing sugar ¾ cupbr Vanilla essence 1 tspbr Flour 1 cupbr Ground walnuts ½ cupbr Chili powder 1 tspbr Ground cinnamon ¼ tspbr Ground cloves ¼ tspbr Ground all spice ¼ tspbr Chocolate chips ½ cupbr Method:br Beat butter and 13 cup icing sugar until light and fluffy, add in vanilla essence. Mix in all the other ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 180 degrees C until bottoms are lightly browned, 12-15 minutes. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool 5 minutes. Roll in remaining icing sugar. Cool completely.br br Taiwanese Beef Noodle Bowlbr Ingredients for the Beef & Sauce:br Ground beef ½ kgbr Beef stock ½ cup br Oyster sauce 1 tbspbr Soy sauce 4 tbspbr Rice vinegar 1 tsp br Five spice powder 1 tsp br Honey 1 tbspbr Oil 2 tbspbr Onion (chopped) 1br Minced ginger 1 tsp br Garlic (chopped) 7 clovesbr Bamboo shoots ½ cup br Sliced green onions 2 (to garnish)br For Noodles: br Spaghettirice noodles 1 packetbr Oil 2 tbspbr Sesame oil 2 tbspbr Onion powder ¼ tsp br Garlic powder ¼ tsp br Salt to tastebr Black pepper as requiredbr Method: br In a bowl, mix the beef stock, oyster sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, five-spice powder and honey and set aside. Heat oil. Add onion, ginger and garlic. Add ground beef, brown well and then add the sauce mixture. Cook, breaking up the beef, until fully cooked through. Add bamboo shoots and turn heat off. Toss earlier boiled noodles with 2 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp sesame oil to coat. Add onion powder, garlic powder, and sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper. Divide noodles into individual bowls and spoon generously with warm beef and sauce. Top with freshly sliced green onions.
