India head coach Ravi Shastri said MS Dhoni knows when to call it quits from international cricket and that discussing about his future at the moment in downright disrespectful to what he has achieved for the team. Shastri slammed those raising questions on the lack of clarity over Dhoni's future suggesting, “Half the guys commenting on him can’t even tie their shoelaces”. The India head coach also suggested that Dhoni decided to leave Test cricket when he believed that Wriddhiman Saha was ready to take over.

कोच रवि शास्त्री ने भारत के इस पूर्व कप्तान को लेकर बड़ी बात कही है. भारतीय टीम के कोच रवि शास्‍त्री धोनी के समर्थन में आ गए और उन्होंने उन पर कमेंट करने वाले लोगों को जवाब देते हुए कहा कि जो लोग अपने जूते के फीते भी सही तरह से नहीं बांध पाते, ऐसे लोग धोनी पर बयान दे रहे हैं. टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया से बातचीत करते हुए रवि शास्‍त्री ने कहा कि पहले यह देखने की जरूरत है, उन्होंने देश के लिए क्या उपलब्धियां हासिल की. उन्हें समझ नहीं आता कि लोगों को इतनी क्या जल्दी है कि धोनी अब संन्‍यास ले लें. भारतीय कोच ने कहा कि शायद लोगों के पास बात करने के लिए कोई मुद्दा नहीं बचा है. धोनी को जानने वाले ये ब‌हुत अच्छे से जानते हैं कि वह जल्द ही क्रिकेट से दूर हो जाएंगे.
