The world's biggest trade pact is set to be signed next year,... as leaders from 15 Asian countries excluding India agreed to seal the deal.
After seven years of negotiations,... a draft agreement on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership was reached late Monday night during a summit in Bangkok,... despite doubts raised by India amid domestic opposition.
China says the rest of the partner countries decided to move ahead, regardless,... and that India is welcome to join the initiative later.
The China-led trade pact includes South Korea, Australia, India, Japan and the 10 nation-ASEAN bloc.
The 16 countries account for 30 percent of global GDP and half of the world's population.
