In October, Worthington Industries cut 300 jobs and now they've announced plans to cut 300 more.

The cuts will affect Worthington's steel processing and metal framing segments, eliminating 4 percent of its total work force.

The company will close its Lunenburg, Massachusetts facility by February 28, and suspend operations at facilities in Phoenix and Miami by the end of February. Worthington, a metal work company, said it intends to reopen the facilities if business returns.

Worthington also plans to ask the remaining employees to work less hours and take time off without pay. The job cuts and plant closings are estimated to save the company about $17 million dollars a year.
