Tender mutton pieces, flavorful curry and the aroma, is what makes this Basic Mutton Curry special.br br Ingredients For Onion-Coconut Paste:br (Serves 6)br - 1 Onion(sliced)br - 2 tbsp Oilbr - 1 cup Coconut(grated)br - 12 cup Dried Coconut(grated)br - 5 Green Chilliesbr - 7-8 Garlic cloves br - 1 inch Gingerbr - Water br br Ingredients For Mutton Curry:br - 3-4 tbsp Oil br - 1 Onion(chopped)br - 1 tbsp Ginger, Garlic & Coriander Paste br - 1 Kg Muttonbr - 1 Tomato(grated)br - 1 12 tbsp Red Chilli Powderbr - 12 tbsp Turmeric Powderbr - 1 tsp Garam Masala Powderbr - Onion-Coconut Paste br - 1 ltr Water br - Saltbr br Method:br 1. Roast sliced onions in a wok, till it changes its color, and then, add oil br 2. Mix it and let it turn golden brown in colorbr 3. Add grated coconut to the wok, and roast them till it turns brown in colorbr 4. Now, add grated dried coconut to the wok; mix it and add green chillies, garlic cloves, ginger br 5. Fry it for around a minute, and turn off the flamebr 6. Let it cool down, and ground it in a mixer, with the help of some water br 7. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, and add chopped onion to it br 8. Saute it, till it turns soft and pink in colorbr 9. Add ginger, garlic & coriander paste to the cooker, and fry it till the raw smell goes awaybr 10. Now, add mutton to the cooker, and saute it on a high flame for around 3-4 minutes br 11. Add grated tomato to the cooker, and fry it for around 3-4 minutes br 12. Now, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and saute it br 13. Once the oil starts separating, add grounded onion-coconut paste and mix it br 14. Add 1 ltr of water to the cooker; add salt and mic itbr 15. Now, pressure cook this over a high flame for 3 whistles, and then, turn the flame to medium-low to let it cook for more 15-20 minutesbr 16.
