Deepening inequality in South Korea bites struggling youth

In South Korea, income disparity has widened since President Moon Jae-in took office in 2017.  A September 2019 poll of about 3,300 people by recruiting service provider Saramin, found that three-quarters of respondents see parental background as key to a child's success.
