Saigal was a born talent and he started singing at a very early age after being trained in Indian classical music. In his prolifique career K. L. Saigal has sang and acted in a number of hindi films. The most notable of them was Pramathesh Chandra Barua's adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's Devdas.
