harma was born on June 2, 1986, in New Delhi, India. She completed her education in Russia and later on moved to Mumbai to pursue her a career as a singer. Sharma showed interest in music from a very young age. Her father died when she was 20.[citation needed] She began her career as a playback singer with the song “Yahin Meri Zindagi” in the film Dev.D directed by Anurag Kashyap.[2]br br She has performed in numerous live concerts. She has worked for MTV’s Coke Studio and her MTV Unplugged songs received positive reviews.
