Timelapse footage shows a rare asperitas cloud formation glide over the Black Forest in Staufen, Germany on February 23.br br Local photographer Steffen Schwenzer, who filmed this, said: "This display was probably caused by a strong jetstream, wind shear and a developing low above central Europe."br br The Met Office describes the cloud formation as "a distinctive but relatively rare cloud formation that takes the appearance of rippling waves.br br "These wave-like structures form on the underside of the cloud to make it look like a rough sea surface when viewed from below.
