According to Babylon Health,br the number of hospitalizations involvingbr pizza significantly rose in 2018.br Babylon Health compiled these statisticsbr by analyzing data from 100 emergencybr departments across the United States.br Compared to 2,300 cases in 2017,br there was nearly a 50 percentbr increase in pizza-related injuries in 2018.br At least 3,800 visits to the emergency room in 2018 were found to be related to pizza in some way.br These injuries could range from br being cut by a pizza cutterbr to an unfortunate fallbr while delivering a pizza.br 2018's numbers mark the highest br number of pizza-related injuries since br Babylon Health began tracking them.
