Sharjeel Imam's family said they had donated 1,000-square-feet land for the construction of a temple in Jehanabad, Bihar in 2017. Imam was arrested from Bihar's Jehanabad on 28 January for allegedly making inflammatory speeches at Jamia Millia Islamia University and in Aligarh.
