#COVID-19 #Coronavirus: DRONE FINDS GROUP OF PEOPLE HIDING ON ROOF

A police drone has been filmed tracking down civilians breaking strict quarantine rules in China's Hubei Province which has been plagued with coronavirusbr This dystopian-style video shows how drone police enforcing a quarantine in China find a group of people hiding on a roof – then blast them in a furious tirade on a loudspeaker.br br The people were believed to be playing gambling games together in a rooftop garden amid the deadly coronavirus or "COVID-19" outbreak – of which they have been 78,824 cases and 2,788 deaths in China.br Police officers in Maojian District in the city of Shiyan, which is in Hubei Province where the outbreak began, discovered the fearless group of neighbours playing a popular tile-matching game known as Mahjong on February 18.br br In the video, which shows eery scenes of unmanned drones hovering through the air above empty streets, a policeman forces the group to scatter with abr He repeats: “Do not gather! Do not gather!” to enforce the city-wide lockdown that has been in place for more than a month.br br The same footage also shows officers reminding residents that they are only allowed outdoors if they are carrying an exit permit – a document that restricts every household to sending just one family member to go out and buy necessities once a day.br br Large gatherings such as sporting events or weddings have been outlawed during the outbreak.br Gambling is also forbidden as the group activity may cause accidental transmission of COVID-19.br br The entire province of Hubei, where nearly 60 million people live, has been on full lockdown since January 24.br br br It is currently not known when large-scale travel restrictions aimed at containing the outbreak will be relaxed.br br China has not been shy to demonstrate its technological capability in the battle against the virus – with earlier footage showing an army of drones spraying disinfectant over entire villages .br It was claimed that a single drone managed to spray disinfectant across 16,000 square metres in just one morning.br br China also used thermal drones to try to locate civilians who had a fever and had not put themself in quarantine.br br However, to tackle locusts the country stuck to its traditional – and effective – method of sending 100,000 ducks to eat the invading pests.
