Chinese travel enthusiast Liu Weilong was evacuated from Iran earlier this month because of the coronavirus pandemic. He noticed a lack of healthcare measures in Iran, the worst-hit country in the Middle East, with 15,000 confirmed cases and 1,053 deaths as of Monday. Locals glared at him for being Chinese and wearing a mask. Liu went to Iran in January for a two-month trip but was later evacuated by the Chinese embassy.
