Mosques lie empty of Muslim worshippers after the Gaza Strip authorities closed all mosques in the Palestinian enclave as a measure to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The health ministry reported on Thursday seven new cases of novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the enclave to nine.
