Kareem received several pranks from Michael Cooper and his Showtime Lakers teammates. On his birthday, he exited the show to see his jeans torn up. Cooper smacked a newspaper out of his hands one time. When Kareem systematically got each teammate back, including tying Mark Landsberger's clothes into a knot. Cooper was left at the airport another time, that story going unsaid, "that cost me a lot of money," Cooper remembered.
