New York City Ends 24-Hour Subway br Service to Disinfect Trains and Buses Governor Andrew Cuomo announced br the decision on Thursday as the city br attempts to further flatten the curve. Governor Andrew Cuomo, via news briefing Cuomo noted that the 4-hour period has the br lowest ridership, though overall ridership has br dropped 92 since the city was put on pause. Prior to the decision, subway cars br were cleaned every 72 hours. The MTA will continue to provide buses br and compliant “dollar vans” to essential br workers during those hours.
