80 Percent of US Voters Say the Country Is 'Out of Control,' Survey Says

80 Percent of US Voters Say the Country Is 'Out of Control,' Survey Says With nationwide protests, a rising death toll from br COVID-19 and high unemployment numbers, an NBC NewsWall Street Journal poll says that only br 15 percent of voters believe things are under control. The survey was conducted from br late May through early June 2020. It adds that four in five br registered voters believe the br country is in a state of flux. 57 percent wants the government to do more, br while 38 percent think it's doing too much. Despite the chaos, results from NBCWall Street Journal br find that President Trump's approval rating br is holding steady at 45 percent. He still trails former Vice Presidentbr Joe Biden, 49 percent to 42 percent, br in additional poll findings. As protests rage on, the survey br adds that the majority is more br concerned over actions of the police. 59 percent are concerned about what authorities will do, while 27 percent say violent rallies are more worrisome. 63 percent say they are still concerned they br or someone they know may contract the coronavirus. Only 11 percent believe the pandemic br has been contained enough before br the U.S. economy can fully open.
