SWAN survey claims 85 percent workers pay their own rail fare. Due to the Coronavirus, there was a lockdown in the country for almost three and a half months, due to which millions of migrant laborers got trapped in other states and could not go home. A large number of laborers set out on foot to reach their homes, due to which some died, after which labor trains and buses were run to send them home.
