Devshayani Ekadashi is said to be the beginning of Lord Vishnu's rest period. Ekadashi of Ashadh Shukla Paksha is called Devshayani Ekadashi. From the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, the bed of Lord Vishnu starts, hence it is called Devshayani Ekadashi.br br देवशयनी एकादशी भगवान विष्णु के विश्राम काल आरंभ के समय को बोला जाता है. आषाढ़ शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी को देवशयनी एकादशी कहते हैं. देवशयनी एकादशी के दिन से भगवान विष्णु का शयनकाल प्रारम्भ हो जाता है इसीलिए इसे देवशयनी एकादशी कहते हैं.
