GST revenue collection in June stood at Rs 90,917 crore, up from Rs 62,009 crore mopped up in May and Rs 32,294 crore in April. The goods and Services Tax (GST) mop up was 9 per cent lower on a year-on-year basis in June, while it was 62 per cent down in May and fell 28 per cent in April. GST collections for the first quarter (April-June) of this fiscal declined 59 per cent, when compared to the same quarter last year as lockdown imposed to contain spread of COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted economic activity.

देश में लॉकडाउन में ढील के बाद आर्थिक गतिविधियों के जोर पकड़ने से जीएसटी संग्रह में भी तेजी आई है। जून में जीएसटी संग्रह 90917 करोड़ रुपये रहा। हालांकि यह पिछले साल की समान अवधि की तुलना में 91 फीसदी है लेकिन इस साल अप्रैल और मई के मुकाबले इसमें काफी बढ़ोतरी हुई है। अप्रैल में जीएसटी कलेक्शन 32294 करोड़ रुपये और मई में 62009 करोड़ रुपये रहा था। साल की पहली तिमाही में जीएसटी कलेक्शन पिछले साल की तुलना में 59 फीसदी रहा है। कोरोना काल में पहली बार जीएसटी का डेटा आया है। इससे पहले जारी नहीं हो रहा था।
