Apple’s $500 Million Slowdown Settlement Can Now Be Claimed The class-action lawsuit against the tech giant requires the company to pay for purposely slowing down processors on older phones. Eligible models include the “iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus … iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus.” The company has agreed to “provide a cash payment of approximately $25 per eligible device.” The amount is subject to decrease if the number of approved claims exceed $500 million. Claim forms must be submitted before October in order to receive payment.
