An Israeli jewelry company, Yvel, has taken things to another level, as it's working on an eighteen-karat white gold mask.
Designed to be encrusted with 3-thousand-6-hundred black and white diamonds... it's set to be the priciest mask in the entire world.
The estimated price: one-and-a-half million U.S. dollars.
The firm did not identify the buyer, but said he's a U.S.-based Chinese businessman.
The company was grateful the order brought some relief to the pandemic-hit business.
However, practicality had to be compromised in the shift from function to fashion as the mask is a hundred times heavier than a typical surgical mask.
