CSCS cards are a much quicker and more efficient way of proving your competence than waiting for references for every project. It is not a legal requirement to have a CSCS card but some employers will only hire people who have them. As well as being a quick way to check that their staff know what they’re doing, the cards also help employers to keep their site safe.
