Around 200 protest against Penang Deputy CM II Ramasamy

Around 200 people from 30 Muslim NGOs protested against Dr P. Ramasamy for his alleged support for Liberation Tigers of Tamil Ellam, which is a Sri Lankan terrorist group.

The protesters handed over a memorandum demanding Ramasamy to step down from his post and be investigated by authorities. Dr Ramasamy said the false claims linking him to the terrorist group was purposely made due to his statements against Indian Muslim preacher Dr Zakir Naik.
