20% oil royalty still at discussion stage, says Azmin

Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali said that the 20% oil royalty on profit to oil-producing states was still being discussed following a statement by the Kelantan Menteri Besar that the state received payment of "wang ihsan” from the Federal Government on Sept 27 and not a royalty payment as mentioned by Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng on Monday.
He also told reporters that Petronas would be making cash payments to the finance ministry which would then channel those payments to the relevant state governments.
