Maszlee: Schools and kindergartens in Penang, Putrajaya, KL and Selangor to close for two days

As the haze worsened, Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik on Wednesday announced that all schools and kindergartens in Penang, Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor will be closed for the next two days.

He said the ministry has issued new standard operating procedures (SOPs), which include giving principals and headmasters autonomy to declare school closures and letting teachers work from home.
