First look at Free Video Editing Software ShotCut

A first look at SHOTCUT, the free and open-source video editing software. I heard about Shotcut in passing but never gave it a second look. In this video I install Shotcut for the first time and run through the basic functions to see if it's any good. I was NOT disappointed! I hesitate a few times and make some beginner mistakes. Shotcut is completely free and could give DaVinci Resolve and other programs a run for their money!br br ChaptersBookmarks:br br 00:00 Introductionbr 01:04 Installing Shotcutbr 02:10 Running Shotcut for the first timebr 02:33 Choosing project format and resolutionbr 03:03 Interface overviewbr 03:30 Importing a videoclipbr 04:45 Adding clips to the timelinebr 07:48 Adding audio files to projectbr 09:06 Adding filters or titles to clips in the timelinebr 13:39 Exporting the file to MP4 for YouTube from Shotcutbr 16:00 Previewing the quality of the resulting videobr 16:39 Conclusionbr br Shotcut has an impressive set of features, it supports 4K video, lots of audio and video, filters and effects, and exports to most video formats you'd need.
