The 160 kilometre Moloto road passes through Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga. It is claimed numerous lives and injured many more. For decades, those who use it have been begging government to help. Various ministers have promised to build rail infrastructure and upgrade the road. Even former President Thabo Mbeki promised to do something during his State of the Nation Address in 2007. But, still little has been done.
