Hong Kong activist Joshua Wong and several other pro-democracy figures held a rally outside the Thai consulate in Central on October 19, 2020 to show solidarity with protesters in Thailand. Demonstrations in Thailand continued for a fifth straight day on October 18. Protesters have been calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, a more democratic constitution and the reform of the monarchy.
