Katyayani Devi is worshiped with full reverence on the sixth day of Navratri. Katyayani is the sixth incarnation of Goddess Durga. According to the scriptures, the goddess was born as the daughter of Katyayan Rishi as his daughter, due to which she got the name Katyayani. Mother Katyayani is considered as amogh fruit.
