Police continue to clamp down on motorists not complying with Level 1 lockdown regulations. A large-scale police operation and roadblock, headed by the Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, was conducted this morning in Benoni. Government has now allowed taxis to load at 100 capacity, provided that people wear masks. The move came despite concerns that a second wave of Covid-19 cases may occur. But the police are remaining steadfast and are sending a stern warning to criminals.
