Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 'Vetrivel Yatra' has added a strain in its ties with the AIADMK, which is its own ally and the ruling party in Tamil Nadu. Even as the AIDADMK-led Tamil Nadu government had denied permission for the yatra, the BJP workers left for Tiruttani to launch the yatra.
