A massive outrage has been sparked after a student of Delhi's Lady Shri Ram College for Women died by suicide on November 2 at her hometown in Telangana. Aishwarya Reddy left behind a purported suicide note in which she cited financial difficulties as the trigger behind the drastic step. She was a bright student, a Telangana Class 12 topper and INSPIRE scholarship recipient, whose working class parents were struggling to educate her.
