David Dinkins, , New York City's First Black Mayor, Dead at 93.br According to the Associated Press, NYPD officers were called to Dinkins' home Monday night.br He seemingly died of natural causes.br His death was also confirmed by br Mayor Bill de Blasio to 'The New York Times.'.br Dinkins graduated magna cum laude from br Howard University with a degree in mathematics.br He went on to receive his law degree br from Brooklyn Law School.br In 1990, he defeated Edward Koch and Rudy Giuliani to become the 106th mayor of New York.br Giuliani offered his condolences on Twitter.
