A 26-year-old doctor from Madhya Pradesh, succumbed to the deadly coronavirus disease after battling the virus for almost a month at a private hospital in Bhopal on Wednesday, said officials. The dreaded virus had reportedly affected the doctor’s lungs and a transplant was the only way to save him. But, due to the very severe cyclone Nivar which is expected to make landfall by midnight or early tomorrow, he couldn’t be airlifted to Chennai where he was about to undergo the procedure.

मध्य प्रदेश में एक और कोरोना योद्धा की मौत हो गई है. बुंदेलखंड मेडिकल कॉलेज के 26 साल के डॉक्‍टर शुभम उपाध्याय ने इलाज के दौरान भोपाल के चिरायु अस्पताल में दम तोड़ दिया. वो कोरोना मरीजों के इलाज के दौरान संक्रमित हो गए थे और उसके बाद उनकी तबियत बिगड़ती ही चली गयी. उनके फेफड़ों में 90 फीसदी से ज्यादा पानी भर गया था. डॉ. शुभम पिछले कई दिन से भोपाल में भर्ती थे।और मध्यप्रदेश सरकार ने कहा था कि उनके इलाज का पूरा खर्च राज्य सरकार वहन करेगी और उन्हें बेहतर इलाज के लिए भोपाल से विमान के जरिए चेन्नई ले जाने की तैयारी चल रही थी, लेकिन चेन्नई में चक्रवात निवार की वजह से विमान सेवा बंद थी, इसलिए उन्हें एयरलिफ्ट नहीं कराया जा सका. तभी उन्‍होंने दम तोड़ दिया.
